Marathon of Projects. Day 2

The second day of the Marathon of projects became as bright as the first one and attracted much attention of professionals. No wonder it did, as among the speakers there were famous personae of the architectural sphere of Ukraine.

Briefly about the Marathon of Projects:

  • Yulian Chaplinskyi, chief architect of Lviv city: “Lviv is a one large construction site. While in 2011 38,000 sqm of residential projects were finished, in 2015 we had this figure at the level of 600,000 sqm. By 2025 the forecasts of residential construction reach 6,300,000 sqm, half of which has been realized already”.
  • Tetiana Hryhorova, chief architect of BIP-PM started day 2 of the Marathon of Projects with the presentation of a closed-type residential complex and its main characteristics.
  • Oleksandr Chyzhevskyi, director of SE “UkrNDPITsyvilbud”about the institute’s projects in suburban zones: “At the moment, in Kyiv the directions with most construction activities are the directions of Zhytomyr and Odesa”.
  • Vitalii Timofieiev, director of architect bureau “AVN”, representatives of the group of companies “D-I-M”, presentation of a residential complex at the left bank of the Dnipro river: “The customer told us to project the most beautiful building throughout the entire left bank part of Kyiv. The site’s area is 2 hectares, with 1 building. Target: comfortable residence with modern style”.
  • Yurii I. Seriohin, honorary architect of Ukraine, on the projects of his bureau: “City administration initiated a request for modernization of Prospekt Myru and making it look Ukrainian style”. Yurii Seriohin presented separate objects of the renewed Prospekt and realization of Ukrainian style in them.
  • Andrii Rubtsov, engineer of applied equipment of Solutions for window industry direction at REHAU told about modern requirements in architecture, requirements to lighting and sound isolation of buildings. Using REHAU window systems in translucent structures architecture
  • Oleksandr Korotkykh, chairman of the board of Vinnytsia regional organization of the National Architects Union of Ukraine on socialization of architectural projects on the example of the pedestrian bridge Kempa, recreation complex R&R on the Pivdennyi Buh river, Vinnytsia city
  • Nataliia Tatarchuk, ITS Ukraine, on city transportation model, modeling the existing transportation and passenger routes and forecasting intensiveness of them in future, long term planning of interchanges development and optimization: “The city often has no clear idea how to make itself logistically “useful” to the inhabitants”.
  • Ihor Brodi, architect, Uzhhorod city, on architectural romanticism in Zakarpattia region. Mr. Brodi presented samples of the projects made in ethno romanticism, historic and modern romanticism.

It should be noted that at one platform the Marathon of Projects gathered projecting, developer organization, potential investors, construction organization, manufacturers of construction materials and services suppliers. During 2 days, lots of projects were presented that would be realized within the 3 nearest years. No doubt, this event deserved high appreciation from the construction market participants, as it is here that everyone can not only learn the projects in theory, but communicate with their creators and implementers.
